Lincolnshire Young Voices is a group of young people (aged 11–25) with lived experience of SEND. Their mission is to make sure young voices are heard when decisions are made about SEND services and support in Lincolnshire.
They are currently on the look out for more young people to join the team.
If your child is interested in getting involved then please email:
lincolnshireyoungvoices@lincolnshire.gov.uk
What do they do?
The group currently meets at St Christopher’s SEND School in Lincoln, but they're looking to rotate meetings around the county if there’s interest from outside Lincoln. They also offer digital participation options.

On February 11th, Amy and I are going to deliver a virtual workshop for parent/carers on Making it REAL. This is one of the programmes that has been funded by the Family Hubs and this one focusing on supporting Raising Early Achievement in Literacy (REAL)
This special approach workshop is aimed at families who may have children with additional needs, but whilst celebrating that uniqueness of their children, also sharing ways that they can support their child’s early skills in fun and everyday playful ways.
The ideas are all linked to the 4 strands of literacy (Oral language, Reading, Environmental Print and Early Writing) but very much focused on low cost/no cost ideas that families can do at the developmental level that the child is.
We are just opening this up to 20 families on a first come, first served basis.
If any of your families have any further queries before booking on, they can email us at MakingitREAL@lincolnshire.gov.uk
